Often I receive emails from people interested in learning more about starting a business with WineShop At Home. Recently, I had a detailed conversation with someone who asked a lot of questions that many of you may also be wondering about, so I thought I’d share my responses with you. Please email me any additional questions that may not be on this list.
Q: Do you find certain areas/cities/states are better than others for building your business?
A: You can do well anywhere if you focus on it
Q: Do you have any difficulty overcoming the upfront cost of the host paying for the wine tasting set?
A: There will always be someone who has an issue with it but are those people really your target market anyway? It’s a mindset, we offer a truly awesome tasting experience for a great value and the people in your target market won’t bat an eye.
Q: How do you overcome any objection to this?
A: I don’t, I move on to someone else.
Q: How many tastings do you do a month?
A: 4-8
Q: I noticed that the start-up kit for WineShop At Home does not include any tasting glasses. Do you supply your own or do you have the host provide them?
A: Typical tiny tasting glasses do not help the wine taste better. I provide my own glasses because wine truly tastes better out of better glasses. I want to maximize my guest’s experience. Plus, we sell stemware so my guests don’t buy what they can’t see and touch. Providing the glasses for my tastings is an extra step that I find more than worth it and it makes my hosts feel like it’s so easy to have a tasting.
Q: Does WineShop At Home sell wines exclusively or do they also sell paraphernalia?
A: We do sell some additional wine accessory items and will be expanding in other areas over time.
Q: If I signed up, are there territories?
A: Nope, you can sell and build a team anywhere we are licensed. Check out our list of Service Areas at www.MyLittleWineBusiness.com in the lower right corner
Q: If I recruited someone in another state would I have to refer them to you since I’m in a different state or would I get the credit?
A: You could have them on your team.
