They say that people enter our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime – and in many ways, WineShop at Home can be the same.
What I’m always trying to tell people is that you don’t have to be a WineShop consultant forever. Yes, I have been working with this company for almost 13 years and it has given me many opportunities that I never would have had otherwise.
BUT that doesn’t mean that your path with WineShop will be the same, or even look remotely similar!
WineShop for a Season
For many of our consultants, WineShop has been a means to carry them from one stage of life to the next.
In fact, I’d go as far as to say that the most successful leaders at the company use a good portion of their direct sales income to fund something else in their life. Whether they’re putting money into a retirement fund, investing in real estate, starting another business or paying to go back to school so they can launch another career, it’s all great.
Many of our consultants even continue to work their full time jobs (personally I think they are some of the smartest)!
I’m telling you: WineShop at Home can totally be a means to an end. It’s a really fun means to an end – and you might end up staying longer than you expect – but there’s nothing wrong with planning that you’ll work with us for a year or so and move on. That’s what makes this company so powerful.
Be Strategic as a WineShop at Home Consultant
It’s easy to get caught up in the glamour of the wine industry when you work for WineShop at Home. I mean – come on! An annual convention in Sin City? Relatively easy-to-earn incentive trips to locales like Cabo, Vienna and Costa Rica!? Earned wine delivered to your doorstep? And weekly wine tasting events!!? HELL-O!
But I always encourage my consultants to be really strategic and proactive about what the business can do for them. WineShop at Home can be a practical tool to achieve goals that may have previously felt out of reach – and when you connect with those goals, it will give you the motivation to put in the work and earn more commission.
Is that a little vague? Here’s what I mean, specifically:
A lot of consultants I know earn a cool $500/month. They kind of coast along and of course, they love the income but they don’t really need it for whatever reason.
I’m saying that those consultants could easily make $1000/month if they connected with their goals and put in juuuuuust a little more work.
So here’s my question for you: if you stepped up your WineShop game just a little bit and found yourself earning $500 more each month, what could that do for you? Think about it! That’s $6,000 extra every year! Fund your IRA, Squirrel it away for a fabulous VA-CAY, Throw it in the “I want a new kitchen” remodel fund? Pay off a debt (that’s like double dipping because once the debt is paid off you can save THAT money and you are STILL earning the extra $500 a month. Options!!
This week, I encourage you to start taking your business a little more seriously. I’ll bet there’s a goal in there that you’ve pushed down and possibly ignored that could come to life if you took a moment to consider what you could do if you had $500 (or more!) extra each month.
