“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
So, who are the five people you spend the most time with?
Actually – a better question might be, what are the qualities you wish to see in yourself… and do the five people you spend the most time with embody those qualities?
Personally, I value things like the entrepreneurial spirit, practical thinking and a go-get ‘em attitude.
And I’m proud to be able to say that thanks to my friends in direct sales and at WineShop at Home, yeah, I’m totally surrounded by these qualities!
Choose a Team that Brings You Up
It’s so easy to lose belief in yourself and what you’re capable of (a little too easy, don’t you think?). But when you’re surrounded by friends who consistently look forward with optimism and won’t let you wallow in your fear or despair for too long, life becomes so much more fun!
…Not to mention lucrative.
Surrounding yourself with like-minded, successful and committed people is, I think, the best way to guarantee success in life. After all, you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with! So don’t you want those five people to ROCK?
I’ll tell you what: the people at WineShop at Home are in it to wine it. I mean WIN it (whoops! Freudian slip). And a huge part of that team-minded culture is the structure that WineShop corporate has built for us.
Let me explain.
At a regular job, people don’t necessarily want you to be successful. It can be threatening to others when you become the star in your department if there’s only one managerial position. What if your colleague also has her eye on that promotion? She might be your “friend,” but can she really support you fully if she knows that your success will mean her failure?
The system isn’t structured for people to fully support one another because competition is naturally built into the foundation.
But that’s not the case with WineShop at Home.
At WineShop, YOU decide the hours you’re going to work. YOU decide if you’ll reach out to 5 more people and ask them to host a tasting. YOU decide if you go the extra mile, earn the extra income, and take it to the next level.
And guess what? You decide if you’re going to give yourself the extra push you need to reach a promotion.
There’s no “her or me”. Everyone can have a promotion when they reach their sales goals. Get it?
And the best part is that the more successful you are, the more successful your team is – which means that your fellow consultant will WANT you to go for the gold because she won’t get penalized for your success – in fact, she’ll be rewarded for it!
This is why I love having friends who are in direct sales, and especially friends who work with WineShop at Home – they push me to be my best, all the time, and I love them for it.
